Meet Susan from Susan Talismans

Happy Monday everyone! Today, I would love to share with you another wonderful Etsy Shop owner, Susan Espinoza who makes some of the most unique and creative jewelry I have ever seen!

Susan who is from and still residing in California opened up her Etsy Shop on April 13th, 2014 called Susans Talismans . She actually started making jewelry in 2003 when she was taking a metal working class in junior high. Her first making was of a pair of earrings that she has given to her family member as a gift.  She was ambitious to learning how to do more as she used her imagination for some amazing ideas. She started learning how to  make beaded and wired jewelry and still longed to learn more.

She spent a lot of time watching videos, researching and reading and everything she has done on her own, she was gaining more knowledge that put her creativeness into wonderful work. She learned how to identify different materials such as gemstones while also learning how to wire wrap.

Depending on what piece Susan is making, She dedicates a lot of her time making these beautiful pieces. Some items may take 30 minutes while others can take up to 5 hours. (She's very dedicated!).

Susan's Goals for 2015 is to get her brand name out there, to make new lines of one of a kind jewelry and continue to learn new jewelry making skills.

I asked Susan, "What's one piece of advice you'd give to someone who wants to make Jewelry?"

Susan's Reply: "Making jewelry is a tough business. There is a lot of competition and a lot of negativity out there. But I think the main things are to believe in your self, be original, and stay positive. As long you have those things your light will shine and spark those around you. And isn’t that the point of being an artist of any kind, to inspire others?"

Susan is a remarkable person and definitely a very talented Jewelry maker. Through learning on her own with lots of dedicated time reading, and watching since junior high, She has come up with so many amazing unique pieces. I have personally followed her shop for a good period of time, and  each piece she makes is always something so new and different from another, it's truly amazing.

Pillow Talk with Marina Prien

So as I was roaming through Etsy just browsing around, I found a shop that really caught my eye. I found some really beautiful pillows that just Wowed me so of course I had to message her and let her know I really loved her work. After talking with her for a bit, I thought it would be really awesome to share her work with everyone! So I asked her some questions and let her know it would be for this blog and she was completely okay with it :)

You can find her Etsy Shop: CrazyPillows

Marina Prien who has opened her Etsy Shop in December of 2014 makes some very creative and beautiful pillows for adults, for kids and for decor!

Marina was born in the UK who is currently living in Australia with her husband and daughter (I'm a bit Jealous!). Marina learned how to sew at a very young age who was always staying inspired to make more for herself.  She started sewing and creating things upon other peoples requests which helped her boost her ideas and inspirations into more.  The more work she has done, the more ideas she had and she truly put her heart and ideas into what she makes.

Marina doesn't have a favorite because all her pillows are her favorites (I'd have a hard time choosing too). She said her pillows are like her kids, filled with hard work and a lot of love. Every pillow she has created is special to her.

I asked her how long it takes for her to make these beautiful pillows, She dedicates a lot of hours and sometimes a whole day as she builds her pillows from her ideas she holds in her head.

She did give me a small hint of possibly something new in the future, but for now it's a secret (I can't wait to find out!).

Marina created her Etsy Shop because she has so much passion and inspiration to show her ideas and her work with everyone. She loves what she does, and she really puts her heart into her work and she wants to make customers happy with what she does.

So if you're looking for something new, or just want to stop in and take a look at Marina's Shop, You can now!

Getting To Know Carol Woldring

Sometimes Etsy Shoppers will shop their hearts out, without realizing who it is they are buying from. Many Etsy sellers work very hard to create the best handmade items they can. There are so many creative sellers out there. Today, I'd like to share with you all who Carol Woldring is which by the way, is a very lovely lady!

Carol opened up her Etsy Shop WoldringsKnits back in May, 2014.  Not only does she Crochet, but she also knits. Carol attempted to learn  how to Knit a few years back, when she was pregnant with her oldest daughter but she couldn't get the hang of it. She didn't give up though! When she was pregnant for second daughter, just last year she did more research and started watching tutorials on Youtube and finally got the hang of it.

She always loves learning how to do new things. She was taught by her mother in law how to Crochet which was a little easier for her, especially for being taught hands on.

I asked Carol, "What item did you make, that took the longest to make?".

The Fringe Shawl, Handmade by Carol Woldsring

This beautiful shawl took the longest, because it is one of the largest items handmade in her shop, and she worked very hard on the pattern and detail. This is absolutely beautiful! If you'd like to check this item out you can find it now in her Etsy Shop! The Fringe Shawn

Out of the many beautiful items she has made, one of her most favorite ones is the Tutu Princess Skirt .  She loves to see her daughters smile and excitement every time she creates a new one to keep making her feel like a Princess.

Carols inspiration came her mother in law. Her mother in law would give her handmade gifts that Carol just fell in love with, and she wanted to learn how to create handmade gifts for others. If there was another hobby she could learn in a single day, She'd love to learn how to paint. She'd love to learn how to explore many colors that pop out while the strokes are being blended in to make beautiful pictures.

Out of all her beautiful work I have seen in her shop, it was very hard for me to "pick" a favorite. One of my favorites though would have to be The Crochet Hooded Bear Cowl .

This cowl looks like so much fun to wear! Especially for kids. (I'm a bit of a kid myself because, I want one lol).

As you can see, Carol puts a lot of time, dedication and love into her work. There are many things in her shop, even for adults that many can benefit from. (You really should look into her shop for her gloves, They're awesome). She has a great variety from hats, to scarves, to bags and more!

Make sure to stop in and say Hello to Carol!
